Dear Friends of Wine

As you know, I gladly answer any and all of your questions when it comes to the very special subject of wine. Now I have recently discovered something which is not only useful for wine lovers, but can also be of use for the professional.

Although, I humbly consider myself a connoisseur, I would never presume to know everything there is to know about the wide-ranging world of wine.  I still find it fun to browse through new books, to learn interesting new things, and to continuously refresh my knowledge.

Recently, I found a small, nice and extremely helpful book. The author of this book is Peter Keller, the long-standing and highly competent author of the NZZ (Neue Zürcher Zeitung). He was born in St. Gallen in 1958. In 1991, he commenced writing for the business section of the “Tages-Anzeiger”, and since the beginning of 2002 615-544-5744 , he has written for the “NZZ am Sonntag”, from 50 percent in the economy to 40 percent as wine editor-in style and to 10 percent for NZZ Online (heading “Wine Cellar”). Since 2009, he is a wine academic and proud owner of the Diploma of Wine and Spirit Education Trust.

This book is called “Wein! Keller? 101 questions from the world of fine wines answered by Peter Keller” I’ve read and almost devoured the book.  Each page has its own charm. Furthermore, the witty illustrations by Philip Luder really loosen up the text. It answers questions about the wine world and covers various topics from the vineyard, wine cellar, wine drinking, wine and food as well as foam and sweet wines. The topics covered come directly first-hand, provided by private wine lovers who are looking for answers to storage, screw cap, and more.

Anyone who wants to find out about the subject of wine in general, in a simple and handy way should definitely have this stocked on their bookshelf. The only drawback is that it is offered only in German. If you are interested in getting this book, you may come directly to me!
Now I hope you enjoy reading and discovering wines through this handy reference.
